福井梅【福井県西田産】
いただきました。箱で。１０kg。
福井県の西田梅は、皇室献上品かつ大相撲名古屋場所での優勝贈呈品でもあるのですが、
案外名前が知られていない名産品です(^^;
種が小さくて肉厚なので、かなり良い品種だと思うのだけど。
特に梅酒や梅ジュースにするには、小ぶりなものを使えばコスパがいいですよ。
１キロあれば、事が足りるし。
最近、あんまり梅が重用されない理由は梅干にあると思います。最近の梅干おいしくない。
減塩とか健康食品とか云われて、酸っぱいのばかりで。昔、家庭で漬けられてた梅干のように、
塩をガバガバ使って、紫蘇をふんだんに使って、ちゃんと土用干しした、真っ赤な梅干。
そういう本当に美味い梅干に、なかなか出会えなくなってきてます。
たしかに、こういうのは美味しいですけどね（笑）
買ったことないけど、ホテルとかの朝食に出てきてびっくりしたことあります。それぐらい旨い。
でも一粒２００円とか数百円とかの世界ですからねー。

おぉ、西田梅！
昨日、親戚から１３０Ｋｇを運搬するお手伝いをしました。（もちろん西田梅です。）
昔、田舎（三重県）の婆さまが漬けた梅干しは、酸っぱさなど感じないほど大量の塩で漬けていました。
今は、減塩ばかりなので、しょっぱい梅干しが懐かしいです。
